Update of the ENACOM Test Standard for Low Power Devices in Argentina

 

On March 8, 2022, ENACOM published the Synthesized Resolution 280/2022

To introduce an updated version of the Testing Standard for Low Power Devices (SRD)

 

The key points for this update are as follows:

 

  • New Test Standard for Low Power Devices (SRD): ENACOM-Q2-60.14 V21.1

o It has been in effect since March 8, 2022

o Replaced the old standard ENACOM-Q2-60.14 V20.1

o New SRD low frequency bands have been added:

  • 0.490 – 1.705 MHz
  • 1.705 – 30 MHz
  • ENACOM granted a grace period of 90 calendar days to allow new and ongoing applications to still be accepted with reports issued under the old ENACOM-Q2-60.14 V20.1 standard.
  • For renovations, based on the old Res. 552/2021, it would not be necessary to retest, as long as the original test report demonstrates that it complies with the limits established in this new regulation.
